Nightstick Introduces Industry-First USB Rechargeable Zone 0 Intrinsically Safe Headlamp

Nightstick, global manufacturer of innovative, professional portable lighting products, raises the bar of performance and flexibility yet again with the introduction of their industry-first DICATA^TM XPR-5562GX ATEX certified Zone 0 Intrinsically Safe Rechargeable Headlamp featuring MagMate^TM charging technology.

Leveraging recently introduced Nightstick MagMate magnetic charged coupling technology, users benefit by replacing the need for disposable batteries while also eliminating the time taken today to find, secure and manually insert traditional power cords that are prone to inadvertently disconnect. With a simple flip open of the protective cover and by holding the magnetic connector in close proximity of the hermetically sealed charging port, the MagMate USB coupler magnetically snaps into place. The DICATA then begins to seamless charge confirming back to the user LED confirmation of a secure connection. With no port to open or rubber cap to get torn off, recharging this low-profile headlamp has been simplified without the need for removal from a traditional helmet.

With a beam distance of 120 meters (394 feet), the DICATA’s spotlight emits 275 lumens, while the floodlight emits 250 lumens. When operating simultaneously in full power dual-light mode, 300 lumens will blaze out of this dustproof intrinsically safe headlamp. It is constructed with a durable, thick-walled engineered polymer designed to outlast the most challenging hazardous environments. The XPR-5562GX is powered with an integrated lithium-ion battery for extended run-times and peak performance.

Utilizing double fault analysis, the XPR-5562GX is Zone 0 certified for ATEX and IECEx IIC gas groups with a T4 rating and carries a UL 913 certification for Class I DIV 1 IIC gas groups (hydrogen, acetylene) at a T4 temperature rating making it a truly global certified safety product.

The DICATA USB XPR-5562GX comes equipped with a heavy-duty rubber strap to fit on fire helmets and hard hats of all shapes and sizes.
